Word on the Street in Toronto

Our annual presence at Word on the Street (WOTS) is perhaps the most significant and successful of our promotional efforts. We engaged with hundreds of curious visitors and scores of writers at every level of expertise from wannabe to seasoned pro. This year we were proud to hand out a full-colour, eye-catching flyer, designed by Steve Feek, which helped immensely in getting our “Writers Helping Writers” message across. The all-day gorgeous weather also contributed to the success of the day.

A big thanks to Patrick and Imma Argiro and Sharon Crawford for helping out at the booth. A special thanks to Steve Feek and Liisa Hyponen for their efforts both behind the scenes and at the event. And to all the members of the executive, who have since the conclusion WOTS 2010 made sure that our planning for this year’s event stayed on the rails.

  1. Hi Jake and fellow CAA members in the Toronto branch. Greetings and congratulations from the wet coast. I will be interested to see how your blog works out; we in Vancouver are also considering adding a blog to our website.
    Cheers

    • Bob,

Although we’re just getting the blog up and running, it does allow us to get public information out the membership quickly. It also gives our membership a way to make announcements about their upcoming events. We’re hoping the blog proves to be a very useful tool for the Toronto Branch. Once you have the Vancouver blog setup, please email the link to caatoronto@gmail.com.

      Thanks,
      Steve Feek

    • Thanks, Bob.

I haven’t played around with the blog enough to notice your comments. Hope you get your blog running successfully as well.

      Jake
